Redefining Life Plan for Aging: Approaches to Age-Friendly DX Cities and Gerontechnology(English)
Overview
-
This forum serves as a platform for cities worldwide to come together and discuss the realization of "Age-Friendly Digital Transformation (DX) Cities." The primary goal is to reduce the digital divide among the aging population, provide a convenient and safe digital environment, and efficiently address the challenges of an aging society while innovating and enhancing the quality of senior citizens' lives.
Background
-
- Rapid changes in the digital technology landscape have been observed worldwide, with local governments increasingly promoting initiatives such as smart cities and smart elderly care services. - Growing national interest in addressing the widening digital divide and inequalities resulting from the increased use of digital technologies. - The need for strategies to counter the weakening of urban functionality due to aging populations and the importance of building people-centric urban environments that encompass all generations. - The establishment and operation of a practical and effective digital governance system that takes into account seniors as part of the transition to a smart government. - The importance of international collaboration and discussions regarding digital innovation, digital inclusion frameworks, and global responses to these issues.
